Bio: She is the daughter of Robert and Jane Lloyd Anderson who lived on the farm one mile west and one half north of Soldier, pioneers in this county.

On account of ill health she broke up her home in Soldier in 1933, and went to Holton with her daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Klusmire, where she remained until a few weeks ago when she went to Colorado to spent the summer with her daughter, Mrs. Agnes Langston.
When a young girl she became a member of the Methodist church at soldier. She was active in the work of the church until ill health prevented her. She was a charter member of the Royal Neighbor Lodge at Soldier, and had never broken relationship with that order.
The passing of Clarissa Anderson Tolin, closes a chapter, so to speak, of the history of the community as she was the last of the members of the older Tolin families, that took such an active part in the early history of Soldier and in the support of the Methodist church here. Mrs. Tolin spent practically all her years in this community. She was devoted to her fine family, who became useful and influential citizens.
