COURIER-JOURNAL OBITUARY - February 21 to February 22, 2004 - Stephen Squires, 80, of Louisville, passed away Friday, February 20, 2004 at his home. He was a retired electrician for Philip Morris USA, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and IBEW Local #369 and former commissioner of Strathmoor Village. He was preceded in death by his sons, John and Mark Squires. He is survived by his wife, Mary Squires; two sons, Mike and Perry Squires; sister, Mary Virginia Karthman; and two grandchildren, Mark and Mary Squires. The funeral Mass will be held at noon Monday at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2141 Lancashire Ave., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. Sunday at Resthaven Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Louisville.
