Amos Travis Jaye, a resident of Uriah, died Tuesday in an Atmore nursing facility. He was 89.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Morris Jaye of Uriah; four sons, Travis Oneal Jaye of Tiverton, R.I., Vondee Jaye of Deep Run, N.C., Kenneth Jaye of Mineola, Ala., and James Edward Jaye of Vinton, La.; two daughters, Alberta Williams of Ocala, Fla., and Myra J. Saucer of Frisco City, Ala.; one brother, Robert Wallace of Longview, Texas; three sisters, Madge Wallace and Annie Joe Wallace, both of Longview, and Doris Bruner of Pittsburg, Texas; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Mineola Baptist Church with burial in Mineola Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville is handling arrangements.
