Carl R. Kinkle, age 94 of Onaway, Michigan, died November 17, 2007 at his son's home in Holly.

Carl was born in Caseville on November 6, 1913 to Charles Kinkle and Winnifred (Pelton) Kinkle.

On November 20, 1939 he was married to June M. DeMorest in Frenchtown (Onaway). Carl moved away from Onaway and went to work for Consumers Power in the collection department until his retirement in 1976 when he returned to his hometown. He was a member of the Onaway First Baptist Church and bowled on the senior league at Nautical Lanes in Rogers City. In 2005, Carl won the senior league bowling championship in Flint. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in the woods, bowling, and watching sports.

Carl will be sadly missed by his sons, David Kinkle of Holly, Gary (Karol) Kinkle of Romulus, Don (Ann) Kinkle of Splendor, Texas, and Kenneth (Dianne) Kinkle of Onaway; daughter, Carlene Degan of Millersburg; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, June Kinkle (2003); infant son, John Dean; brothers, Francis and Fred Kinkle; son-in-law, Marty Degan; daughter-in-law, Judy Kinkle; and 3 grandchildren.
