Walter Arthur Hufford, 80, of Rossville died at 3:30 a.m. yesterday at his residence. He had been ill the past two years.
Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Moore & Brown Funeral Home. The Rev. E. Dean Finley will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Gorden Gendron. Interment will be in Rossville Cemetery.
A retired building contractor, Mr. Hufford was a native of Carroll County. He was born Oct. 16, 1880, the son of David D. and Mary (Withers) Hufford. His wife, Grizella (Robison) Hufford, preceded him in death in 1957.
Mr. Hufford was a member of the Geetingsville Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are three sons, Richard and Robert, both of Rossville, and James of Alexandrea, La.; a daughter, Mrs. Hubert Shepard of Rossville; four sisters, Dora Bricker, Frankfort route 7, Cora James, Kentland, Florence Repogle, Lafayette and Pauline Mason of Tipton; two brothers, Charles of Pacific Grove, Calif., and Earl of Rossville; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
