Treat, Joseph Bradford was born on December 22, 1836 in Orono, Maine, United States. Son of Nathaniel Treat. Educated Orono, Maine. Went to Wisconsin, March, 1860. Engaged in mercantile business until September, 1892. Was vice president First National Bank, Monroe, Wisconsin, since 1875. State senator, 1876-1880. Republican candidate for Lieutenant-governor, 1890. Became chairman Republican State Central Committee of Wisconsin.
