Graveside services for Sidney Myron Bowman of Plaquemine, La., formerly of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 24, in Rosehill Cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Lonnie Case, assisted by Bryant Hofley.
Visitation is Sunday from 1-2:45 p.m., at Harrigill Funeral Home.
Mr. Bowman, 51, died Aug. 21, 2003, at Riverwood Medical Center in Plaquemine, La. He was born in Brookhaven on Sept. 8, 1951, to Clifford D. Bowman and Aleene Russell Bowman.
He was a teacher at Copiah-Lincoln Junior College for four years. He taught one year and had two years graduate study at University of Mississippi. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Survivors are his mother, Aleene Russell Bowman of Brookhaven; his aunts Irene Thompson of New Hebron, Nell McGraw of Panama City, FL., Jimmie Collins of Monticello, and Elsie Bowman and Betty Ann Evans, both of Brookhaven; and several cousins.
