Mrs. Crosby was born Sept. 2, 1929 in Sallis, Miss., to Alec and Lillie Odom. She grew up in Sallis, where she attended school and graduated high school. She was a resident of Greenville for 19 years where she was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God Church until moving to Chattanooga, Tenn., in 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alec and Lillie Odom; her husband, John Crosby; five sisters, Mabel G. McMillon, Lerah Odom, Mildred Allen, Eddie Lee Hudgins and Rena Lou Rutherford; and two grandchildren, Aaron Crosby and Megan Diane Bachtell.
She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Finley and her husband, Scott, of Greenville, and Doreen Bachtell and her husband, James, of Hixon, Tenn.; three sons, John F. Crosby and his wife, Shirely, of Wichita, Kan., Robert D. Crosby and his wife, Karen, of Wichita, Kan., and Darren K. Crosby of Chattanooga, Tenn.; her sister, Earnestine Frazier of Louisville; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville.
The Rev. L.C. Cunningham will officiate the services.
