Nicholasville-George Hagedorn Moody, 83, widower of Virginia Moody, formerly of Melrose Avenue, died August 1, 2007 after a lengthy illness. He was the former long time superintendent of Lone Oak Country Club, a graduate of Wilmore High School-Class of '42 and a veteran of WW II. Mr. Moody was a former coach and teacher for the Jessamine Co. school system. He was a native of Jessamine Co., son of the late Harvey Edgar and Blanche Hagedorn Moody. Survivors include two children and their spouses, Robert Edgar (Diana) Moody-Lexington and Donna Moody (Roger) Tremaine-Nicholasville, five grandchildren Amy (Lee) Mullins, Hilary (Jason) Farris, Trevor (Sara) Tremaine, Deborah Hoosier, Sherry (Clark) Spader, nine great grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan and Taylor Mullins, Clay, Shelby and Emma Farris, Brandon Hoosier, Ryan and Shane Spader, a brother, Billy Moody, two sisters, Thelma Bradshaw and Stella Sweeny. Services will be 1:30pm Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Snyder officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Sunday. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
