Vincent J. Benbennick, 89, of Seaside, Ore., passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, in Seaside.

Vincent was born March 6, 1918, in Bremerton, Wash., to A.G. and Tina Benbennick.

Vincent operated Norge Village Laundry and Dry Cleaning in Coeur d'Alene for many years. He also owned and operated Norma's with his wife,

Norma who passed away in 1993. Vincent then retired and did volunteer work at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and helped with the food.

He was a member of the Seaside American Legion, Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and an honorary member of the Seaside Elks Lodge.

Vincent is survived by his son, Michael J. Benbennick of Canyon Country, Calif.; daughters and sons-in-law: Christine R. and Dana Elkins of Federal Way, Wash., Theresa A. and Bruce Gilley of Herndon, Va. He is also survived by his granddaughter and husband, Carly and Clint Kacalek of Federal Way; grandsons: Nolan Gilley of Herndon, Casey Elkins of Federal Way; granddaughter Jordan Gilley of Herndon; great-grandson Judge Kacalek of Federal Way; great-granddaughter Lane Kacalek of Federal Way; and his good buddy, Dale Gray.

Recitation of the Rosary at Hughes-Ransom Mortuary, Seaside. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Seaside.

Private interment will be at St. Thomas Cemetery in Coeur d'Alene.

Hughes-Ransom Cremation & Mortuaries, 220 N. Holiday Dr., Seaside are in charge of arrangements.
