John P. Jasper, age 62, of 4200 8-Mile Road, Union City, died Saturday, November 27, 1982 at his residence. He had been in failing health two years. He was born in Bronson on May 30, 1920, a son of Adam and Rose (Adamisk) Jasper.
He married Josephine Okenske on July 6, 1946 in Coldwater. They moved to Union City 30 years ago. He was employed by Kellogg Co. and retired about four years ago after 21 years of service. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Bronson American Legion and VFW posts and a life member of the Army 94th Division Association. He also was a member Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Kellogg Retirees Club.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Carol Jasper of Coldwater; a son, Robert Jasper of Battle Creek; one grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. Victoria Nowak of Bronson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Spencer Funeral Home in Athens.
