RITES FOR MRS. MATTINGLY HELD AT ST. FRANCIS, BURIAL AT NEW HOPE. Funeral services from Mrs. Alice Mattingly, of St. Francis, were held Saturday morning at nine o'clock at St. Francis Church. Rev. John T. Mattingly officiating at the high Requiem Mass. Interment was in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery at New Hope. Mrs. Mattingly died at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, Louisville. She was 82 and a lifelong resident of St. Francis. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Roy Fisher, Mrs. Edward Mattingly and Miss Clara A. Nevitt, all of Louisville, and a son, Edward Roberts, of Loretto. Buried in St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery, New Hope, Ky.; Section 12.

MARION WOMAN DIES IN LOUISVILLE AT 82.
Mrs. Mary Alice Mattingly, 82, widow of E. G. Mattingly, died at 10:55 a.m. last Thursday at SS. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, Louisville, where she was admitted three days earlier. She had been ill about a month. A Marion County native, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Holtshouser, she spent most of her life here. She was twice married and twice widowed. Her first husband, Robert Nevitt, died many years ago and her second in 1936. Surviving are three daughters of the first marriage, Mrs. Edward Mattingly, Mrs. Roy Fisher and Miss Clara A. Nevitt, all of Louisville. The body was at Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto, until 9 a.m. Saturday when funeral services were conducted at St. Francis of Assisi Church by the Rev. John Talbott Spalding. Burial was in St. Vincent dePaul Cemetery, New Hope, Ky.
