Services for Mr. Henry James Alford, 88, of Many, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 15, at Warren Meadows funeral Home Chapel in Many…. Additional services were held for Mr. Alford on Monday, May 17, at the Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Carmi, Illinois. Burial followed in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Carmi.

Mr. Alford, a farmer, died Thursday, May 13, at 9 a.m., at Highland Hospital in Shreveport, after a sudden illness. He was born in Noble.

He is survived by two sons, James H. Alford of San Angelo, Tex., and Herman F. Alford of Albany, Ga.; two brothers, James F. Alford of Houston, Tex., and John J. Alford of Odessa, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Zula Bell Dillard of Natchitoches; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
