Funeral for John Michael Austin Sr., 61, of Decatur will be Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Barry Sempsrott officiating.
Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Austin, who died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital, was born Jan. 4, 1947, in Mobile to T.M. and Mattie Austin. He was a Vietnam War veteran and a member of Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, John M. Austin Jr. and Jeff Austin, both of Decatur; and one grandson, Logan Austin.
