Mrs. Joseph Anna BERRY, daughter of Joseph and Sallie A. SWINDELL, was born April 5, 1850 near Lake Landing. She lived there until five years ago when they moved to Fairfield, where she lived until grown. She later moved to Swan Quarter where she was married to the late Alexander BERRY. She died January 8 at 10 a.m. at the age of 82. She leaves three children: Mrs. Leta B. BROWN and Mr. A.B. BERRY of Swan Quarter, and Mrs. G.V. CREDLE of Norfolk, Virginia; also 9 grandchildren. She was a consistent member of Providence M.E. Church, South. She was the last of 10 children. She was buried at Soule cemetery
