He was born in Lorain on may 31,1935, and had been a lifelong resident of Lorain County. He was a graduate of Lorain High School, and went on to complete course studies at Lorain County Community College, Ohio University and the American Institute of banking. Don was a veteran of the United States Army, where he attained the rank of Specialist 4.
Mr. Demyan was most recently employed as a sales associate for Mike Bass Ford in Sheffild and had been the recipient of numerous awards for excellence in automotive sales. He retired from the dealership in 2003. He had previously been employed for 15 years in a similar role at Ed Mullinax Ford in Amherst. He had formerly served as the proprietor of Demyan Meats and had also worked for Demyan Building Co. as well as City Bank.
A parishioner at St. Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church, his hobbies included gardening, bird watching and horses.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Denise (nee Zipp);
daughters Karen Dembiec of Lorain and Nicloe Demyan of Amherst;
sons Craig Deymen of Lorain and Justin Demyan of Amherst; 5 grandchildren; brothers George Demyan of Lorain and Bill Demyan of Shaker Heights; and a sister, Dolores Teague of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael, in 1940 and his mother, Mary (nee Urban), in 1980.
