Lawrence Edward Thorne, Jr., 84, of Beaumont, Texas died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Calder Woods. Lawrence was born on November 6, l922 in Fort Worth, Texas to Lawrence Edward Thorne, Sr. and Florence Marie Logan Thorne.
He was a corporate lawyer and retired from Transcontinental Pipeline of Houston after 24 years of service. Following his retirement Lawrence moved to Beaumont in l983 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Beaumont.
He was a lieutenant in the United States Army during World War II.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Thorne and son, Steven Moore Thorne. Survivors include his daughter, two sons, a daughter-in-law, three sisters, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
