Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Monday, June 15, 2009 at the funeral home.

Interment: Following the funeral service on Monday, June 15, 2009 at Newton Union Cemetery.

Those left to honor Lyle's memory include his wife, Naomi of Monroe; son, Wenton (Barbara) Wyatt of Grinnell; daughter, N. Jean Tennyson of Des Moines; two grandchildren, Robert Wyatt of Grinnell and Leann (Johnathan) Castle of Council Bluffs; four great-grandchildren: Joseph, Shaden, and Jevin Wyatt and Merlin Castle; and his sister, Arlene Seeley of Holly Pond, Alabama.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Welcome and Minnie (Alfree) Wyatt; a daughter, Kay Wyatt; two brothers, Jerry and Bob Wyatt; and a sister, Charity John.

Lyle worked 19 years as a custodian for the Newton Community Schools, retiring in 1982. He also delivered Congregate Meals in Monroe for many years.

Lyle was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monroe. Lyle served his country in the U. S. Army during WW II. He also enjoyed working at the Red Rock Campgrounds. Lyle loved to work on Model A cars. He also enjoyed model trains.
