Annie Evelyn Edwards Adams, 86, of Jonesboro, passed away on Friday, June 19, at Culpepper Place. She was born March 13, 1923 in Dennis, MS to Morgan and Mary Jane Edwards. She was retired from Wal-Mart, had built B-2 Bombers in Memphis during WWII and wrote grants for the Maddox School. She enjoyed making quilts and traveling with senior citizens.
She is survived by a son James Clayton Adams and his wife Carol of Nebraska City, NE; four daughters Brenda Joy Moore of Paragould, Vaunda Jean Wilson of Oak Grove, Mary Annette Trolinger of Marmaduke and Bonnie Sue Adams of Jonesboro; six grandchildren Billy Moore, JR., Tiffany Millspaugh, Jeremy Adams, Erin Kukielka, Jennifer Trolinger and Jesse Trolinger; six great grandchildren Ashley Hinton, Gregory Moore, Kheily Puckett, Lillian Puckett, Asa Puckett and Ezra Puckett; a great-great-grandchild, A.J. Kukielka; and a sister, Shirley McAlister.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Clayton Adams; sisters Flossie Marotti, Relda Brand, Mable Johnson, Morgan Edwards, Mary Edwards and three infant sisters.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Lance Guest officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 pm at Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Richard Millspaugh, Jesse Trolinger, Dub Gatlin, Jerry Hatley, Joe Mathes and Bill Moore, Jr. Honorary bearers will include the men from the Brookland Church of Christ and Granvil Guest.
