Mrs. Sarah Frances Dikes Rites to be Thursday
Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Sarah Frances Dikes who died at her home in Cost Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m., from the Seydler funeral home Thursday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Claude O'Neal, pastor of the Waelder Baptist church will be in charge of the services, and interment will be inthe Dikes cemetery at Cost.
Mrs. Dikes was born Nov. 14, 1872, in Gonzales county, her parents being James Monroe and Martha Ann Wells Hunt. Later in life she was married to B. L. Dikes, who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1927. She was a member of the Baptist church at Cost.
Surviving her are one son, J. L. Dikes of San Antonio; seven daughters, Mrs. Eunice Vosburg, Houston; Mrs. Edith Green, Gonzales; Mrs. Lillian Schauer, Corpus Christi; Mrs. Lindsey DeMoss, Liberty; Mrs. Ruth Harris, Refugio; Mrs. Beatrice Smith, Abilene; Mrs. Corinne Gentry, Gonzales; one brother, Brock Hunt, Cost; and two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Green of Kufkin, and Mrs. W. D. Baggett of Gotebo, Okla.
