Leonard E. Duncan, Sr., 78, of Melbourne, FL, was called to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 17, 2009. He was born in El Reno, OK and at the age of nine moved to Wellington, KS. After completing high school he joined and spent his career serving in the US Air Force for 28 years, retiring as Chief Master Sergeant. He graduated with a degree in accounting from Rollins college. Leonard has resided in Brevard County since 1976. He was a Realtor in Brevard County for many years and enjoyed square dancing with the Alamanders Club. He was a member of Oceanside Community Church. Leonard is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rita; six children, Ann (Leo) Feeley, Leonard Duncan, Jr., Janice (Rene) Deguzman, Rose (Brad) Fountain, Donna Duncan and Bruce Duncan; 15 grand children and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 19th, at Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 20th, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Oceanside Community Church, Satellite Beach. Interment will be Monday, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. with full military honors. Beach Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
