Inman - J. P. "Jim" BAGWELL, 85, of the Holly Springs Community, Inman, Route 3, died unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 14, 1960, at 5:10 a.m. at his home. He had been in declining health several years. Mr. BAGWELL was born at Cross Anchor in Spartanburg County, and was a son of the late MARION and AMANDA LYNCH BAGWELL. He had been a resident of the Holly Springs Community 75 years, was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church and the Mount Lebanon W. O. W. Camp.
He was married twice: his first wife was the late ELLEN CLAYTON BAGWELL. Surviving from this marriage are one daughter, Mrs. AGNESS GARRETT of Greer: three sons, PAUL BAGWELL of Belmont, NC, ARTHUR and LAYTON BAGWELL, both of Inman Route 3. His second marriage was to the late MARTHA SMITH BAGWELL. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Holly Springs Baptist Church by the Revs. E. A. HOOD, C. E. PUETTE and L. W. PACE. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at the Wood Mortuary in Greer and will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Monday.
