Kansan Thursday March 13, 1884.

Mr. P.L. Robinson, a highly esteemed citizen of Newton township, and an extensive farmer, residing two miles south of the city, died suddenly at Malm's drug store in this city Tuesday forenoon about 11 o'clock. He had come to town for a load of rock and while upon the street near the drug store, was taken with a pain in the body which necessitated him sitting down upon the stairs near by Dr. Conrad was called and assisting him into the drug store, gave him a stimulant of wine, rubbed some camphor upon his forehead, and he felt much better. Having been weakened by the sudden pain, he was induced to lie down upon a couch in hopes of relief. He had not laid there but a short time when one of the clerks heard him strangling, and rushed to his side raised his head, but is was to late, for he was dead. Mr. Robinson had been afflicted with heart disease, and it is from that which he is supposed to have died. he was about sixty years of age and leaves a wife, and besides some married children, three other children all under seventeen years of age, to mourn his loss.
