Husband and Wife Die Few Hours Apart
Death twice entered the W.D. Broach home, south of Rison, this week, claiming Mr. Broach, aged 53 at 1:45 Monday morning and Mrs. Broach, aged 47, at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Deaths were due to pneumonia.
Interment of Mr. And Mrs. Broach was made in the Broach cemetery near Kingsland. Mr. Broach was buried Tuesday afternoon and Mrs. Broach was buried this (Wednesday) afternoon. Both funerals were conducted by the Rev. Theo T. James, pastor of the Rison Baptist church.
The Broaches had resided near Rison for several years, after moving here from Kingsland.
Members of Mr. and Mrs. Broach's immediate family surviving are five sons, Floyd, Thurman, W.D. Jr., Cecil and Raymond; four daughters, Mrs. Pete Lephew, Mrs. Jasper Reed, Christine and Lucille Broach, all of Rison.
Mrs. Broach is survived by her mother, Mrs. Margaret Hopper of N. Little Rock; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Massengale, N.Little Rock; Mrs. Lula King, N. LittleRock, and Mrs. Paralee Kitchen, Rison. Mr. Broach is survived by three brothers, Buford and Sam Broach of Kingsland and Jesse Broach of Carthage; two sisters Mrs. Ella Daniels of Kingsland and Mrs. Zona Duncan of Hampton.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of Rufus T. Buie
Mortuary.
