Joseph, son of Lt. Samuel Locke and Margaret Adams, was b. West Cambridge, Sept. 7, 1775; m. Mehitable Locke, Mar. 2, 1800. She was b. June 10, 1777, the dau. of Joseph and Mary (Butterfield) Locke. He d. June 22, 1803, a. 28. His wid. resides, 1852, in West camb. where he resided in a house on the hill south of the "Foot of the Rocks," and the first house westerly of the present William Locke's.
