Mr. Jarrett died at noon Wednesday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
He was a native of Carroll County, Tenn., and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys Marie Cain Jarrett; five daughters, Dorothy Jeanne Rhea of Glasgow, Jannette Fricker of Murray, Laura Hogins of Anchorage, Alaska, Evy Michale Bostleman and Jennifer D. Davenport, both of Toledo, Ohio; three sons, Calvin Douglas Jarrett and Jimmy Ray Jarrett, both of Murray, and James Richard Jarrett of Gleason, Tenn.; his twin sister, Verdell Carter of Huntingdon, Tenn.; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, five brothers and one grandson. His parents were Aaron Murray Jarrett and Laura Aldridge Jarrett.
