Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Arington, age 81, of Opelika will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2005 at Fredericks Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Arington will be Sunday Nov. 27, 2005 at Fredericks Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.
Mr. Arington was born January 9, 1924, and passed away on Nov. 25, 2005. He was retired from the United States Air Force. Mr. Arington was an avid fisherman.
Mr. Arington is preceded in death by his parents, William Marion and Lucile Gorham Arington; four brothers: Blake, Loyd, Clyde, and Ralph Arington; four sisters: Claire Poole, Ruby Duppstadt, Gracie Black and Lola Jean Owsley. Survivors include one brother Cecil (Jean) Arington; three sisters, Dorothy Eller, Eunice (Ed) Manning, Mary Nell (Bennie) Adkins, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Fredericks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
