Son of Harry Edward Frisk and Mary Virginia Elizabeth Gosvenor Frisk.
He went by his middle name of Merle. He was born and rasied in the Oakdale area.
At the time of his death he was newly engaged and he was home on leave from U.S. Navy, before going on maneuvers, when he and a bunch of his brother-in-laws (had 5 in the area) and brother also a sailor home on leave, decided to go rafting, in a large several man raft.
They left from Knights Ferry, not knowing that part of river that well. When they came apon some rapids, one of them grab a pipe that was sticking out of a rock to try and stop them from going over some falls, sadly it knocked Merle out of the raft, hitting his head on the rocks . Merle's body was not found for over a month( his brother-in-law never got over what he had caused to happen).
Merle died 28 days before his 21st Birthday.
