Stamford - Don Lionel Foster, 74, of Stamford, died Sunday, January 16, 2005, in a local hospital .
Services will be held January 19, 2005, at Kinney-Underwood Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Brigham and Thurman Thomas officiating.
Lionel was born May 5, 1930, in Sipe Springs, Texas, the son of the late Don S. and Lois Lakey Foster.
He married Delia Silva on October 17, 1959, in Pedros Negros, Mexico.
He owned and operated Fosters Wrecking Yard for 50 years.
Mr. Foster served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a lifetime member of Stamford VFW Post 9179, American Legion Post 661 of Lueders, 45th Infantry Division Association of Oklahoma City, OK, a member of the Korean War Veterans Association, Inc., and 180th Infantry Regiment association of Oklahoma City, OK.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one son Donny Foster, two brothers - Harold D. and Joe Frank Foster.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Delia Foster of Stamford; one son Harold Foster of Stamford; 2 brothers Willie Foster of Stamford and Paul Foster of Oklahoma City, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
