Mabel Maldlow, 82, pioneer Cashmere resident, died Saturday in a Yakima nursing home.
She was bom April 15, 1892 in Maple Ridge, Mich. She came to the Wilson Creek area in 1901. She attended school there, in 1918 she moved with her parents to Cashmere. She married Clarence A. Maldlow June 3, 1939, in Bellingham. They lived in Cashmere until his death in 1968. She had lived at Yakima since 1969,
She was a charter member of the Wilson Creek Presbyterian Church and a longtime member of the Cashmere Presbyterian Church and of its Gleaners Society. She was a member of Cashmere Grange and of the Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ranee (Eta) Castle, Sunnyside; Mrs. Albert (Irene) Lemke, Alhambra, Calif., and Mrs. Otto (Clarice) Brindamour, Yakima; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Kerb Newlove, Cashmere; Melvin Newlove, Los Angeles, and Harold Newlove, Stockton, Calif.; three sisters, Bertha Griesinger, Yakima; Margaret Joule, and Doris Haskins, both of Bellingham.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Cashmere Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Rogers officiating.
Mrs. John MacPherson was soloist with Mrs. Ed Meyer organist. Burial took place in the Cashmere Cemetery with the following pallbearers. Rich Gilmer, Reg Wiggins, Bill Abeling. Charles Lincoln, Ffoyd Calkin and Charles Cochrane.
The Braun Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements..
