Mrs. Simpsons's home is in Nyssa, Oregon. She had come to Cache Valley to attend funeral services of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Frank H. Wood. Amalga, Utah.
Nettie was born August 16, 1872, in Austin, Nevada. A daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Slater Wood. She moved to Trenton with her parents in 1877, received her education at the new west school in Trenton, Utah, and at Weber College, Ogden, Utah.
Nettie had taught school for over 20 years in various parts of Idaho.
She was married to John M. Simpson in 1918 at Boise, Idaho. John died in 1944. After their marriage they lived in Canada, and had made their home in Nyssa for the past 20 years.
