Mr J D Clayton Sr, one of Person County's oldest and most highly respected citizens died at his home last Saturday, he was in the 86th year of his age, and leaves 11 children, 57 grandchildren and 30 great-grand children to mourn his death. He was confined to his bed only about 9 days. Mr Clayton was a good citizen, one in whom everybody who knew him had the utmost confidence.
