MADISON - Winifred G. "Winnie" Mellum, age 85, died on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004.

She was born on Feb. 13, 1919, in Libertyville, Ill., to Harry and Elva Roberts. The family relocated to Dodgeville, where Winnie was raised.

She married LaVern Mellum. He preceded her in death in 1972.

Winnie is survived by her two sons; a grandson; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, David, Lewis and Harold Roberts; and three sisters, Clarice Holcomb, Nona Aide and Virginia Peterson.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, with the Rev. Shirley Funk presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004.
