Ocala - Mr. Ivan L. Rowe, 94, passed away October 16, 2006 at Palm Garden of Ocala.
He was born in Knox, Pa., and moved to Ocala in 1971 from Wheaton, Md.
He was a 30 year veteran of the U. S. Army, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. During his career he served in WWII and Korea. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Ocala Elks Lodge, the Retired Officers Association, Marion Dunn Lodge #19 F&AM, the Scottish Rite, Ocala Shrine Club, and the Morocco Shrine Temple.
He is survived by daughters Susan D. May and her husband John May of Anthony, Karen R. Schorfhaar and her husband Ken of Ocala, a son Reynold E. Sweigart and his wife Barbara of Jacksonville, Fl., a grandson whom he raised Billy Jack May, three other grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 9 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, two brothers Robert Rowe of Pennsylvania, and Carl Rowe of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his wife Berneda M. Rowe, and two daughters Jean Digman and Beverly Boyle.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens with Pastor Myron Mader officiating. A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm Thursday evening at the Trinity Lutheran Church. ROBERTS FUNERAL HOMES BRUCE CHAPEL WEST.
