IDAHO FALLS, Idaho--John Alexander Birks, 74, retired farmer, died Sunday at his home here after an illness.
Born February 22, 1865, in England. Mr. Birks came to the United States at the age of 5 years with relatives, who settled in Payson, Utah.
He lived in Montana 20 years before coming to Idaho 25 years ago. He resided at St. Anthony and Dubois previous to coming to Idaho Falls two years ago.
His wife, Mrs. Miranda Birks, died two years ago in Idaho Falls.
Mr. Birks is survived by five nieces and nephews: Mrs. Ernest Gould and Mrs. Matt Thompson of St. Anthony, Mrs. Ray J. Thompson of Shelley, Orval Birks of Melba and E.E. Birks of Van Nuys, Cal.
