Daughter, Diantha Perkins, was married at a young age to Abner Scovill. Unfortunately, Abner was killed in a hunting accident. Their daughter (born the same year as Abner's death) eventually went to live with her grandparents, Chester and Salinda. Her name was Abby D. Scovill. She went on to marry Albert Love in Cashton, WI. (Second husband: George G. Rogers) According to a document found in the Vernon County, WI Historical Society, it states that Salinda died at the home of her grandson, Solomon Vanduzee. It says she was survived by 9 children (possibly including Abby Scovill?), 39 grandchildren, 95 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Blessed be the memory of Salinda Chase Perkins.
