He was probably the Robert Parsons listed in the Albemarle parish, Sussex co. VA record as son of William and Mary (Cragg) Parsons b. 30 Mar 1764. He married ca1789 Anna Welborn, probably in what was then Rowan co. NC. He built the first brick house in Grayson co. VA near Mouth of Wilson ca1805. The Robert Parsons Cemetery on a hill behind this house which is still standing in 2013.
