Donald Randolph Knight, Sr., of Summerville, husband of Regina Nettles Knight, departed this life June 15, 2009.
Born in Summerville, he was a son of Claussen Eli Knight, Sr. and Eva Belle Hutson Knight.
Mr. Knight retired from Parker Marine Contracting Corp. after 42 years. He was a member of Knightsville United Methodist Church, the National Guard, the Flowertown Bass Masters Club and was a lifetime member of B.A.S.S.
Survivors include his wife, Regina N. Knight; two daughters, Cheryl K. Flowers and husband Wayne, Kathy K. Janney and husband Rick, both of Summerville; four sons, Donald R. "Randy" Knight, Jr. and wife Linda of Givhans, Fred Kenneth Knight and wife Mindy, Roy Alan Knight, Sr. and wife Lila, and Larry Terrell Knight, all of Summerville; four sisters, Lillian K. Sweat, Betty Jean Varner, Geraldine K. Craven, Annette K. Dopson; one brother, Edmond T. Knight, all of Summerville; ten grandchildren, Roy Knight, Jr., Ken Knight, Shelley Knight, Jennifer Knight, Melissa F. Thornley, Don Janney, Kyle Janney, Brian Flowers, Chelsea Janney, Jamie Barnes; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Knight was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Claussen Knight.
