Visitation begins at 9 am Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Lakewood Funeral Home with a chapel service to follow at 11 am. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Ms. Harris worked for the blood bank in Meridian as a blood technician before retiring from Deposit Guarantee Bank. A gardener, she loved to grow vegetables. She also loved to play the guitar. She was a Baptist.
Ms. Harris was preceded in death by sisters, Thelma Johnson, Ethel Dalton, and Nora Varner; and brother, Buddy Little.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy Ray Arrington and Evelyn Stewart, both of Brookhaven; brother, Marvin Little of GA; sister, Ruby Giles of Bolton; grandchildren, Connie Swindoll of Oregon and Kenny Stewart of Richland; and great grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob, and Lauren Swindoll, and Branden Stewart.
