Mr. Joel N. Stuckey of Abbeville, Kansas, and Miss Reka Elizabeth Sheel of Moline were married Wednesday, October 12, at Wichita, Kansas. Immediately after the ceremony the bride and groom came to the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sheel, northeast of Moline where a reception and wedding supper was given in their honor.
The guests at the reception were J. K. McCluskey of Hutchinson, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sheel, Mr. and Mrs. Chas Durbin, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Wadman, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Street and children, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. McCluskey and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. McCluskey and children of New Albany, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Ficle of Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sheel, Misses May Durbin and Nora Oliver and Messrs. Luther Morgan, Emera and Roy Sheel. A delicious three course supper was served the newly wedded couple at seven o'clock and a pleasant evening was spent in expressing congratulations and felicitations.
Mr. Stuckey is a prosperous and enterprising farmer near Abbeville where he has a home ready for his bride, who has been one of the successful teachers of Elk county and other schools is a most worthy and estimable young lady. The Advance joins in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Stuckey success and happiness.
