ATWELL Mr. - Houston C. Atwell, 91, of Jacksonville passed away October 3, 2007. He was raised in Jackson County near Malone, FL. He had lived in Jacksonville since 1956 and was the owner of H. C. Atwell Appliance Repair. One of his many accomplishments was his country band "Houston Atwell and the Georgia Ramblers" which performed on the Radio, Television and Theaters. He was a member of Highlands Baptist Church. Mr. Atwell was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice Atwell, son Milton C. Atwell and granddaughter Ann Davis. Survivors include his son Wilmer T. Atwell (Shirley), daughter in law Janie M. AtwellWillard; 6 grandchildren: Rick (Beth), Ray (Sharon), Sam (Lisa), Mitch (Sherri), Tony (Tara) Atwell & Penny (John) Nelson, and Ann's husband Pete Davis; 13 great grandchildren; 3 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 6, 2007 in the Chapel of COREYKERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1426 Rowe Ave. with Rev. Howard Adkins and Rev. Art Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Friday (today) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donation to Community Hospice, the Morris Center at 580 West 8th. Street, Jacksonville, FL. 32209. The family would like to thank the staff for the care given to Mr. Atwell. Wilmer would like to thank his many Masonic Brothers for their love, friendship and support given to him and the family during Dad's and Mom's illness.
