Huntsville, Utah: John R. Hopkins 83 died Tuesday October 13, 1998 at a local care center. He was born January 7, 1915 in Cherryvale, Kansas to Luther & Lucille Wallace Hopkins. John married Eva Manning in Elko, Nevada on November 12, 1974. Eva died on November 18, 1992. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army. John retired from the civil service in 1969. Surviving are two stepsons and two stepdaughters: Mike & Angie Manning, Tim & Kay Manning both of Ogden; Marsha & Wayne Kenley of Huntsville; and Cindy & Dennis Dominguez of South Weber. 13 step grandchildren and 6 step great grand children. John was preceded in death by one brother Harvey Steven Hopkins of Sloan, Iowa. Niche side service will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, with Father Cummins officiating. Cremation by Lindquist Crematory. Family expreses thanks to the staff at Wasatch Care Center.
