Mrs. Emma Ridgely, 96, widow of the late James Ridgely and one of Richland county's oldest residents, died last week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Weesner, east of Calhoun in Bonpas township. Mrs. Ridgely is a former Olney resident.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Church of the Brethren at Walnut Grove, the Rev. Gordon Stoltz officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Surviving are a son, Gideon Ridgely of O'Fallon and two daughters, Mrs. Weesner and Mrs. Stella Bogard of Calhoun.
