Mrs. John (Agnus) Woodruff Died Thursday morning March 2, at 1:45 AM in the Wilson County Hospital at Neodesha, Ks. She had been in failing health for two years. At the time of her passing she was 47 years, 7 months and 6 days of age. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 4, 1950 at the Altoona Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. Frank W. Sprague. The services will start at 2:30 p.m. INTERNMENT will be made in the Altoona Cemetery.

Agnes was born in the Protem, Mo. area to Joesph & Maggie Clarkson's Family on 19, July 1902.
Agnes was a homemaker & cared deeply for her large family.
She married John Woodruff at Protem, Mo. in 1925 & he survives at the home. John had came to the Altoona Ks. area and found work at the Buffville Brick Plant south of Altoona. He then went back to the Protem area of Mo. & Married Agnus and they came to Altoona to live. Agnus's Children are, Joe Henry, Anna Luella, Mamie Ethel, Erma Lee, Margie Melvina, John Wesley & Mable Marie all of the home.
The following Sisters and Brothers also survive; Mrs. Urey Brightwell & Mrs Claude Hunter all of Protem, Mo. Mrs Berle Riddles, Washington State. Mrs Floyd Blakey & Mrs. Aphia Woods of Springfield, Mo. and Mrs. Vernice Rogers, Lead Hill, Ark., Amos Clarkson, Leonard Clarkson of Lead Hill, Ark. Tinch Clarkson, Kansas City, Mo. Clate Clarkson of California and Riley Clarkson of Missouri.
Mrs. Woodruff united with the General Baptist Church in the Protem area when a young Lady.
The town and community were deeply saddened over the untimely passing of Mrs Woodruff, for she possessed the qualities of character that made her dependable and trust worthy, always loyal to her large family all of whom are excellent citizens and highly respected. Agnus was a friend to everyone and always willing to help in any way she could. She was always willing to help the "HOBO's" from the Railroad, which was close by their house. She always said you never know when they would stop by for something to eat, they might be an Angel from Heaven.
