Mrs. Dessie C. Caines
Mrs. Dessie Canada Caines, age 97, died Monday, November 22, 2010 at Loris Extended Care Facility following an illness. Born March 12, 1913 in Loris, SC she was the daughter of William Albert Canada and Amanda McDowell Canada. Mrs. Caines was a homemaker and a longtime member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two sons, Richard P. Caines and wife, Mary of Loris and William Royce Caines and wife, Cary of Seneca, SC; four daughters; Flora C. Carroll and husband, Jim of Aiken, SC, Rachel C. Kisiah of Florence, SC, Loretta C. Peele and husband, Charlie of Gainesville, FL and Melba C. Payne and husband Sam of Charlotte, NC and many loving grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Caines was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Parlett Tillman Caines.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, November 26, 2010 at Beulah Baptist Church with committal services following at Beulah Cemetery. Reverend Andy Bass will officiate services. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 24th, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Hardwick Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 2651 Hwy. 66, Loris, SC 29569.
