Melissa was employed by Bank of America for 10 years in the customer service department. She was formerly employed as a special education teacher for 15 years for the York City and Spring Grove School Districts.
Melissa enjoyed giving to the S.P.C.A and loved feeding the birds.
She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, York.
She was the wife of Steven D. Becker with whom she celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on July 8, 2008 and, in addition to him and her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Lindsey K. Becker of York; a brother, Michael A. Arnold of Murrells Inlet, SC; three nieces; her in-laws, Gary and Carla Becker of York; and a brother-in-law, Michael and his wife, Lori Becker also of York.
