Last rites set for Mr. Hunter. Funeral services for Mr. Abbie William Hunter, 78, Hammett Road, LaGrange, will be held tomorrow at 3:30 PM at Flat Shoals Primitive Baptist Church, the Rev. R. Prescot and the Rev. Woodrow Hunter officiating. Burial will be held in Flat Shoals Cemetery. He died at City-County Hospital following several months illness. He was a native of Troup County and he lived here all his life. He was a retired watch repairman.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lucile Pruitt, LaGrange; Mrs. Bessie Hemming, Midway; two sons, Andrew J. Hunter, LaGrange; Howard G. Hunter, Gainsville, FL; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Walser, Atlanta; Mrs. Luna H. Williams, Greenville; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several neices and nephews. Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
A cousin was able to point out the area where he and his daughter are buried in unmarked graves.
