Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a scout in the US Army in the Indian Scouts unit. He entered the service in San Carlos, Gila County, Arizona. He was awarded the CMOH for action in Arizona during the winter of 1872-1873. His citation reads "Gallant conduct during campaigns and engagements with Apaches.
