David Carl Friddle Succumbs at Age 65
David Carl Friddle, 65, died at 7:30 last night at his home, 113 Thain Road, Lewiston Orchards. He had been in ill health since suffering a stroke in 1946.
He was born May 1, 1889, at Mountain City, Tenn., and was married there to Sophia Dollar, Dec. 22, 1908.
The couple came west with their year-old son in 1910 and homesteaded near Troy, Ore., where they lived until moving to Pomeroy, Wash., in 1923. They farmed there before coming to the Orchards in 1927.
Mr. Friddle engaged in agricultural operations here and was employed by the Lewiston Orchards Irrigation District until his retirement in 1940.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sophia Friddle, at home; two sons, Jack Friddle, San Francisco, and Claude Friddle, Orofino; a daughter, Mrs. Capitola Shearer, Lewiston Orchards, and two granddaughters Joan and Betty Tannahill, Lewiston Orchards.
The body is a the Vassar Rawls Funeral Home. Arrangements are pending.
