OBITUARY - Lt. Col. Vernon Esrie Ball, age 88, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas. Lt. Col. Ball proudly served in the United States Army and then served in the United States Air Force from which he retired. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Mason, and member of the Lions Club and the national Model Railroad Association. Lt. Col. Ball is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Joy H. Ball; son, Thomas E Ball & his wife Suzanne; daughter, Annette B Martin; grandchildren Katherine Spears & hysband Steve, Elizabeth Eason & husband Tod, Molly Ann Martin & husband Gary Chinn, David Ross Martin; great grandchildren: Evangeline, Augustus, Atalanta, & Anastasia Spears; sister Bonnie Dippel & husband Con; and numerous Nieces & Nephews. Visitation will be held 6-8pm, Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. Graveside service with Full Military Honors will be held 11:15am, Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
